Case For Christ is book written by Lee Strobel, an American Christian Author, journalist, apologist and
pastor. Lee Strobel is author known for writing Christian inspired
books, among which four of them won ECPA Christian Book Awards. He is
a former atheist who inspired by his wife's conversion to
Christianity, began to investigate the Biblical claims about Christ.
As result of the conclusions of his investigation, Lee Strobel from
an avowed atheist turned into a devoted Christian. Today, he is a
member of the Willow Creek Association and speaks at churches.
Case
for Christ is Strobel's award-winning book which
portraits his converting from atheist to Christian. According to his
sayings, Case for Christ follows his journey towards his complete
conversion of atheist towards becoming Christian. This Christian book
consists of interviews with 13 Christian evangelical scholars, who
explain and defend their views about the evidences and the historical
reliability of the New Testament.
The religious and historical scholars
that Strobel interviews in his book are: J. P. Moreland, Craig
Blomberg, Gary Habermas, Bruce Metzger, William Lane Craig, Edwin
Yamauchi, Alexander Metherell, John McRay, Louis Lapides, Gregory
Boyd, D.A. Carson, Ben Witherington III and Gary Collins.
The fact that all of the scholars that
the author collaborated with in his investigation, are authorities in
their fields of study that gives the book additional value and
reliability. The authority of the scholars and their teaching is one
of the main reason why the book Case for Christ turned to be
successful project among the Christian communities in different
countries worldwide.
Case for Christ is divides in three
parts: Examining the Record, Analyzing Jesus and Researching the
Resurrection. The main goal that the author wanted to achieve with
this book is to point to a veracious proof about the veracity of the
New Testament.
The evidences of Strobel's research and
the statements of the thirteen renowned religious and historical
scholars are documented not only in the book Case for Christ, but
also in a documentary film that holds the same name. Both, the
documentary film and the book that won the Gold Medallion Book Award
for excellence became evidence of his findings and became one of the
favourite Christian book/movie for affirming the faith for numerous
Christians around the world, including the Christian community in
